YONG HYUN CHUNG - Claynmore
I have been thinking of the relationship between ceramics and human beings through my work. I consider human forms, emotions, and memories, while making simple forms that are thoughtful or intuitive using clay. My gestures and words are created through my vessels and sculptures and reflect my inner world.

A created object occupies a space. In that space we coexist and have a relationship with the object with our eyes, hands, and mind. The empty space of the object holds our moments and shares our feelings. To me, the important function of ceramics is the reciprocity of human and social interaction.
